It may sound silly but I just haven't quite come to the realization while combing our archives and uploading long forgotten visits onto the internet for posterity.
What really made me pause was the many children we incorporated into some of our shows...such as this one about a ride on the Ausable River Queen in Oscoda circa 1990.
These kids, you'll see here, were no more then 7 or 8 years old. That means they are well into their twenties with families of their own...WOW!
This trip seems like only yesterday....I can still feel the crisp autumn air blow through the lower deck of the Queen....I can still smell "autumn" in the air....I can still feel the magic and enthusiasm of the children and families on board for this special "Michigan Moment"....
It makes me sad in away.......that life continues.....never able to place on "pause"....except in captured moments on video like this.
We can pause tape...but not life's special moments.....
Have fun watching this segment we taped nearly 25 years ago.....and make it a point to continue to make special moments with your kids and family....Life doesn't stop...and neither should we....Enjoy!
